Gino Cabanas is the CREATIVE Force and Founder of The Vine Studio, which was formed in 2009. Mr. Cabanas is an Award Wining Producer, Director, Writer, Actor, Creator and Show runner. Mr. Cabanas is the creator of the entire Vine Studio Slate, a prolific talent who also serves as the C.E.O.( CREATE ENTERTAIN ORGANIZE). Mr. Cabanas considers himself to be an Executive Artist who originally served as Chief Executive Officer at the Vine Entertainment from 2002 until 2009 in Santa Monica.. “The VISION for the Vine Studio is to Produce ORGANIC ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE SOUL.” Think of us as the WHOLE FOODS for the masses, says Cabanas.”
He recently penned the screenplay for HOLLYWOOD DIME, a crime noir seen through the eyes of Police Chief Benito Garcia, the first Mexican-American Chief of Police in the city's history set in 1975. Antonio Rosario is the young head of the Mexican Mafia who opposes any and all authority. Chief Garcia and Detective Jack Gomez are on a mission to clean up the corruption in the streets, from the drug dealers to City Hall.
Mr. Cabanas’ most recent Creation WORK OF GENIUS is a competition reality series about fine art painters and is currently in post production. Twenty Six Episodes of WORK OF GENIUS were beautifully shot using the Red cameras all over the city of Miami, Florida. WORK OF GENIUS is a breakthrough in Reality series by focusing on humanity and creativity.
WORK OF GENIUS pushes twelve of the Worlds most talented, yet previously undiscovered creative artists, to live, create, and compete together for the chance of having their life and career transformed into the Hottest Contemporary Artist in America. Each episode delves into the creative process and psyche of Artists from Cameroon, Cuba, Poland, USA, Italy, Russia and Uruguay trying to MAKE IT in AMERICA. The Artist were chosen by three criteria. 1) Creativity. 2) Humanity. 3) Spirituality.
Mr. Cabanas’ last feature film CUT OFF, starring Academy Award Winner Faye Dunaway, Academy Award Nominee Anne Archer, Golden Globe Nominee Malcolm McDowell, Amanda Brooks, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Kurupt member of the rap group Tha Dogg Pound, was released through Anchor Bay Entertainment and Universal. Gino served as the Executive Producer/Director/Co-Writer. RELEASED 2008.
