Work of Genius

WORK OF GENIUS is a 13 - episode reality-show that will create, expose and push twelve of America’s most talented, yet previously undiscovered creative artists, to live, create, and compete together for the chance of having their life and career transformed into the Hottest Contemporary Artist in America. The Show’s “Top Artist” will receive a grand prize of $100,000, representation in a top gallery, a publisher for 1 year, and a new environmentally friendly car.

Through a series of grueling “Art Challenges,” and “Artistic Tests” audiences will see the drama unfold as these 12 exuberant and eccentric personalities, each with their own personal creative processes, deal with the high-pressured reality of living and working together while attempting to produce works of art in different styles, forms, and mediums; all while on the clock and under the scrutiny of each other.

The artists will live together in the Eden Roc, a gorgeous Ocean View Resort/ Hotel in Miami. Each episode will feature a “Mini-Challenge” designed to test the creativity of the artists. The winner of each Mini-Challenge will then be given an advantage in relation to the show’s “Main Challenge” for the week, which will always revolve around the creation of an original work of art in a different style. The American Public will vote each and every week on their favorite artist on a scale from 1 to 12. The artist with the most votes at the end 12 weeks will be announced in the final episode in front of a live audience.

Every single child starts out life as an artist. Drawing and painting are our first forms of communicating and expression.

Some people stop early, but some continue from humble beginnings to express themselves through the creation of amazing and inspiring works of art. What is this special magic that makes one an artist? Who has it inside them to transcend the ordinary into the extraordinary?
